Group Name: Applegrove Community Complex- Parent/Child Drop-In
Description: Applegrove Community Complex is a multi-service community organization in southeast Riverdale in Toronto. Our catchment area runs from Jones to Woodbine Avenues and from Lake Ontario north to the Railway tracks. Services cover the age range with programs for infants, children, teens, adults and seniors.
Parents or caregivers bring their children up to age 6 to Applegrove’s 3 free family resource programs to play, socialize and learn in a safe, supportive environment. These programs reduce adults’ isolation and support children’s development. Children enjoy crafts, the sand table, puzzles, song and story circles, snacks and more. Adults exchange parenting information, access resource libraries, attend workshops, learn about community services, and lean on the staff and each other.
