CICS is funded by three levels of government and United Way to provide a wide range of settlement programs and services in Toronto and York Region. Our staff speak 20 languages collectively and we serve immigrants of all age groups. CICS is committed to providing their clients with equal access to services that meet their individual needs.
South Asian Women Club
We provide various services to women in different languages such as English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati and Urdu. Settling in an unfamiliar environment can be both exciting and challenging. If you have an opportunity to share your feelings and concerns with others who are in the same boat, you will be able to get some support and grow out of your feeling of isolation. Just give us a call or make an appointment with our staff to learn more about our programs while you are coping with challenges relating to issues of settlement, relationships, parenting, health/emotion, or career choices. This group meets at our Markham South Welcome Centre in York Region for topical discussions, yoga practice and mutual support. This is an open group and we always welcome new participants who speak Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati or Urdu. No pre-registration is necessary. Simply call for details.
