Group Name: National Eating Disorder Information Centre

Description: Their objective is to provide accurate, up-to-date information on eating disorders and to provide appropriate treatment referrals. Our Centre supports and helps those suffering from anorexia nervosa and/or bulimia nervosa to normalize their eating, gain a further understanding of how the eating disorder is developed and perpetuated, and to encourage them to seek treatment if they are not currently seeing a professional. They also provide written information on eating disorders and food and weight preoccupation; Canada-wide listing of treatment services and resources; lectures and workshops for schools, community groups, professionals etc.; sponsor of national Eating Disorder Awareness Week (EDAW); and training in volunteer work and support services.

When: Those interested should call the centre for additional resources. There is a $15.00 fee for individuals and $20.00 for organizations to become members of the Centre, which provides a newsletter five times a year.
