Group Name: Schizophrenia Society of Ontario – Justice and Mental Health Program (JAMH)

Description: The Schizophrenia Society of Ontario makes a positive difference in the lives of people, families and communities affected by schizophrenia and psychotic illnesses. We envision a world without schizophrenia. For this to happen society must recognize schizophrenia as a serious brain disease, excellence in service and treatment must become the norm, stigma must be eliminated, and a cure must be found.

The Justice and Mental Health Program provides emotional and navigational support for families with a loved one who has a mental illness and has come in to contact with the criminal justice system. Their objective is to support families of people with mental illness who have come in contact with the law while promoting change in mental health and justice.
