Group Name: Senior Peer Helping Centre
Description: A volunteer organization, part of a unique seniors’ project organized and run by trained senior volunteers. Senior peer helpers listen in a friendly manner to concerns and problems of other seniors. They help seniors recognize the value of their life experiences and how those experiences can help them cope today, encourage them to realize their strengths and help them build self-esteem and confidence. Seniors are referred, when necessary, to appropriate community resources. To help seniors consider new options for their lives.
