Group Name: The Gerry and Nancy Pencer Brain Tumour Centre
Description: The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre has 12 site groups and 26 specialty clinics, and almost 3,000 staff who see over 400,000 patient visits every year. Its 800,000 square feet house 130 inpatient beds, 373,000 square feet of research space and 17 radiation treatment machines.
On the second Tuesday of each month we hold 2 separate group sessions, one for patients and one for family members and friends. The 2 groups run at the same time. The sessions are led by a nurse, social worker, occupational therapist or other experienced professional member of the brain tumour team. We occasionally invite guest speakers to discuss special topics, as requested by group members.The Pencer Centre is dedicated to managing tumours of the brain and spinal cord. At the Pencer Centre, cancer experts on your team work closely with you to ensure you get the best care possible. *** You do not need to register for the Brain Tumour Support Groups. Just drop in.
