Description: East Metro Youth Services (EMYS) is an adolescent mental health and addictions centre, accredited by the Children’s Mental Health Ontario (C.M.H.O.). We have been serving young people and their families in East Toronto since 1974.

Developmental Services includes a wide range of services and programs for youth and young adults with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or a mild to moderate developmental disability, along with a behavioural, social, emotional or mental health challenge. These services are available for youth age 12 and older. AYCES (Asperger’s Youth for Community Engagement & Socialization) is a program designed for youth between the ages of 12 – 18, with a diagnosis of Asperger’s Syndrome. The AYCES program encourages and helps these youth develop their social and life skills, increase their self-esteem, develop peer relationships. AYCES supports them in the community, and creates volunteer opportunities. AYCES includes the following services:

  • After-school program
  • Summer camp
  • March break
  • Alumni Group
  • Saturday outings
