Group Name: Brain Injury Society of Toronto – Social Drop-In Program
Description: The Brain Injury Society of Toronto (BIST) supports ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) survivors and their family members. Our members are children, parents, teens, spouses, and grandparents. Membership is open to anyone in the community with an interest in the challenges that come with living with the effects of brain injury. Different areas of the brain are responsible for specific functions. Damage to the brain can result in different types and severity of deficits from one individual to another. The behaviours that emerge after an ABI are unique to each individual.
BIST is starting up a NEW monthly social drop-in program this winter that will allow members to have a place to meet up to socialize, play games, work on projects together. This program is open to members who are interested and are held on a drop in basis.
Where: Northern District Library, 40 Orchard View Blvd. | Toronto, ON M4R 1B9
When: Second Tuesday of each month, from 1:00 p.m – 3:00 p.m.
