Description: The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada’s largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital, as well as one of the world’s leading research centres in the area of addiction and mental health. CAMH combines clinical care, research, education, policy development and health promotion to help transform the lives of people affected by mental health and addiction issues.

For: anyone concerned about substance use of someone close to them (such as partners, parents, siblings, children, friends)

Providing: confidential, free education, information, support and counseling services including:

  • 8-week psychoeducational groups
  • Monthly Educational Evenings for the public and community
  • Assessment and short term treatment for individuals and families
  • Referrals to other service providers in the Toronto area and Ontario
  • Couple counselling available for CAMH clients and their partners
  • Telephone consultation
  • Ongoing volunteer-led family support group
