Description: Humber River Hospital is one of Canada’s largest regional acute care hospitals, serving a catchment area of more than 850,000 people in the northwest GTA. The hospital currently operates on three sites with a total of 549 beds, 3,000 staff, approximately 700 physicians and 400 volunteers.
Bridgeway Intensive Day Program
Our mission is to help people who are dependent on drugs and alcohol become clean and sober and improve their quality of life through education, self-awareness and counselling. The 28-Day treatment program starts every Monday. The program runs Monday to Friday all day for 4 weeks. The MOHLTC-approved standardized assessments are provided in-house for individuals being referred to external substance use treatment. Individuals must be committed to abstinence and must be committed to making necessary lifestyle changes. Individuals must attend all components of the program. Individuals must have stable housing. **** Self Referrals are accepted. Priority will be given to patients already connected with HRH and to patients being referred by a community organization that has a written memorandum of understanding (MOU) with HRH. Must be 17 years old and over.
