Group Name: Canadian Centre for Men and Families – Mindfulness Meditation for Men

Description: The first facility of its kind, we are an open, inclusive and safe space dedicated to the health and well-being of boys, men, fathers and their families. We provides workshops, counseling, discussion groups and a variety of special events. Programs include trauma and abuse support, suicide prevention, fathering, tutoring, mentorship and legal aid. We run services, research, advocacy, outreach and public education on all aspects of men’s issues.

Mindfulness Meditation for Men
These workshops are for those who wish to have an introduction to mindfulness meditation, and to begin to use some of the breathing, relaxation, and awareness exercises in their everyday life. In a small group setting we will explore ways to develop focus, inner stillness and to watch our experience with new awareness rather than from our learned autopilot. Learn how men can development themselves physically, emotionally, and mentally (and often spiritually) and experience the everyday in a new way. Respond to life more and react less. “Be” present with…and despite our life circumstances. The Mindfulness Meditation for Men has two components: an introduction session (monthly) and exercises and practice session (monthly). ** There is no cost to attend and registration is required.
