Hillcrest Mall is holding an exciting registration event for the 11th Annual Richview Manor’s Strides for Stroke in support of Mackenzie Health’s York Region District Stroke Centre.
All past and first-time registrants are invited to register for the 5K walk/run in Centre Court, where there will be fitness and wellness demonstrations on stage, refreshments, and prizes from Hillcrest and participating retailers.
Participants can register as individuals or groups, and are encouraged to take the stage to challenge other individuals, groups, or companies in a friendly fundraising competition.
The run takes place on Saturday, May 7th.
Funds raised will ensure that stroke patients have rapid access to diagnosis and treatment, appropriate rehabilitation, community integration assistance and long-term care services, and towards the purchase of much-needed state-of-the-art equipment and renovations that are critical to providing expert care to patients at Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital and the future Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital.
This year’s fundraising goal is $175,000. Last year, the 10th annual run reached the $1-million mark in total funds raised.
