Request for Volunteer Board Members
Interested in becoming more involved with the SHRC? We are looking for dynamic volunteers who are interested in becoming a part of our Board of Directors.
What we need:
We especially need board members who have backgrounds in the following areas:
- Law
- Public Relations/Marketing
- Finance
- Human Resources
- Self-Help/Mutual Aid (service consumers are welcome)
Board Member Requirements:
- Attend monthly board meetings (September - June) for a two-year term.
- Participate in a sub-committee in an area of interest. Sub-committees meet either monthly, or periodically, as needed.
- Have a familiarity with the operation of a non-profit board of directors.
- Have experience in an identified area listed above, or an eagerness to learn, or both!
- Have experience in an area not listed above, but one that you feel would benefit our organization.
