Al-Anon Information Services/Alateen

Group Name: Al-Anon Information Services/Alateen

Description: To help families and friends of alcoholics cope with and understand the disease of alcoholism. Greater Toronto Al-Anon Information Services (or GTAIS, for short) provides a forum for the Al-Anon and Alateen groups within the Toronto geographic area to exchange and share information. GTAIS also offers a variety of services to Al-Anon members and the community such as:

  • Al-Anon Telephone Book Listings
  • Telephone Answering Service
  • Post Office Box
  • Information on Conferences, Group Anniversaries, etc.
  • Greater Toronto Al-Anon Family Groups Public Outreach
  • Greater Toronto Al-Anon Day

At Al‑Anon Family Group meetings, the friends and family members of problem drinkers share their experiences and learn how to apply the principles of the Al‑Anon program to their individual situations. They learn that they are not alone in the problems they face, and that they have choices that lead to greater peace of mind, whether the drinker continues to drink or not.

Where: Please call for a meeting location close to you.
