Description: The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada’s largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital, as well as one of the world’s leading research centres in the area of addiction and mental health. CAMH combines clinical care, research, education, policy development and health promotion to help transform the lives of people affected by mental health and addiction issues.

For: anyone concerned about substance use of someone close to them (such as partners, parents, siblings, children, friends)

Providing: confidential, free education, information, support and counseling services including:

  • 8-week psychoeducational groups
  • Monthly Educational Evenings for the public and community
  • Assessment and short term treatment for individuals and families
  • Referrals to other service providers in the Toronto area and Ontario
  • Couple counselling available for CAMH clients and their partners
  • Telephone consultation
  • Ongoing volunteer-led family support group

Description: Catholic Family Services of Toronto was established in 1922 and is a non-profit counselling agency. The agency is accredited by Family Service Ontario and is a member of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Toronto. Our staff is professionally trained, skilled and knowledgeable.

They are dedicated to excellence, personalized care, and to helping people develop their potential as fully as possible. They provide extensive preventative (wellness) as well as treatment (counselling) services. Their commitment is to promote and strengthen healthy families, marriages, and individuals.

Choosing To Change
A 10-week counselling group for men who have been emotionally or physically abusive in their relationships with women and wish to change. Men attending the program must not have pre-adjudicated charges before the criminal court. ***Note: fees individually assessed.
