SUDEP Aware

Group Name: SUDEP Aware (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy)

Description: SUDEP Aware is a Canadian charity dedicated to raising awareness and understanding of Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP), with the ultimate goal of finding its cause(s) and prevention. SUDEP Aware was co-founded in 2008 by Tamzin Jeffs, who lost her sister to SUDEP and lives with epilepsy, and paediatric neurologist/SUDEP researcher Dr Elizabeth Donner at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto.

Whilst SUDEP Aware does not have an official support meetings, we do have families who prefer us to introduce them to others who have also lost a loved one to SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy). This we try and do by matching as closely as possible to familial relationship to, and age of, the deceased, as well as geographic location.

Where: Suite 350, 283 Danforth Avenue | Toronto, ON M4K 1N2
