The Body Politic: Social Justice, Gender Equity and Eating Disorders

The National Eating Disorder Information Centre (NEDIC) is pleased to present The Body Politic: Social Justice, Gender Equity and Eating Disorders, a FREE community event presented by Dr. Catherine Steiner-Adair (leading expert in child development and family relationships and Author of The Big Disconnect: Protecting Childhood and Family Relationships in the Digital Age). This talk is a part of NEDIC’s biannual conference, Body Equity: Self-Esteem in the Balance and is intended for all audience levels.

Dr. Steiner-Adair will provide a socio-cultural context to eating disorders, and discuss methods of strengthening one’s resistance to damaging societal ideals.
